What is findom?

Financial domination, explained without the noise: what it is, why it works, who it’s for, and what separates a real dynamic from a scam.

Financial domination — findom — is a consensual kink in which money itself is the instrument of power. One person, the Findomme (financial dominatrix), holds authority. The other, the paypig (or finsub), expresses submission by giving: tributes, gifts, and agreed financial rituals. There may be no physical contact at all. For many Australian dynamics, there never is.

The exchange looks irrational from the outside — until you understand that the paypig isn’t buying anything. He is giving, and the giving is the reward. The Findomme isn’t receiving payment for services. She is exercising authority, and the tribute is its proof.

“The tribute is the language. The power is the conversation.”

The psychology

Money is the most concrete symbol of power in ordinary life — which is exactly why surrendering it is such a potent act of submission. For the paypig, sending a tribute produces a genuine psychological response: vulnerability, devotion, relief. For the Findomme, receiving it affirms status and control. Neither side is pretending.

This is why findom sits inside the broader BDSM family but behaves differently: the currency of the dynamic is literal currency. Heels, leather and ritual often accompany it, but the money is never a prop — it’s the medium.

What a dynamic actually looks like

A typical Australian dynamic begins online and often stays there. After negotiation — limits, budget, expectations — the paypig might send a weekly ritual tribute, fund small luxuries (“my nails, pig”), or follow a task-and-tribute structure. The Findomme sets the tone; the paypig’s cap sets the ceiling. Good dynamics are boring on paper and electric in practice.

The authority

Findomme

Also: financial dominatrix, Goddess, Mistress, Queen. She commands tribute through presence and control. She sets the terms, owns the pace, and answers to no one inside the dynamic — except the consent architecture both parties agreed to.

  • Commands, never chases
  • Sets tribute expectations openly
  • Honours limits — visibly
The devotion

Paypig

Also: finsub, wallet, cashpig. He submits by providing — tributes, gifts, rituals. The pig mask exists as a symbol of the role, but a real paypig is simply a man whose submission runs through his wallet. His limits are the foundation of everything.

  • Gives because giving is the desire
  • Declares his cap before his first tribute
  • Can pause or stop at any time

What findom is not

It is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Anyone selling “become a Findomme, earn A$10k a week” courses is selling a fantasy. Real dynamics are built slowly.

It is not financial ruin. “Ruination” is dirty talk inside a budgeted frame. A dynamic that actually ruins someone has failed — and on this platform, it ends.

It is not coercion. The moment pressure replaces consent, it stops being findom and starts being abuse. We treat it that way.

It is not shameful. It’s a kink between consenting adults, legal in Australia, and — done properly — more carefully negotiated than most conventional relationships.
